HTC Hero

HTC Hero WhiteThe HTC Hero is the latest touchscreen smartphone to come with the Android OS. Despite its controversial, angled chin, the Hero is probably the best looking Android phone so far and it has several new improvements and enhancements. The all-new user interface, called HTC Sense, lets you view a log of all communication channels for a chosen contact. Simply choose a name from your contacts and within a single view you can see all calls, texts and emails plus all communications on the likes of Facebook and Twitter.

The 3.2 inch capacitive touchscreen is very good and the user interface with trackball navigation is excellent. The Hero has 3G with HSDPA, Wi-Fi, a GPS receiver and a digital compass for automatic navigation and rotation of maps. The multi-touch screen also has a built in accelerometer for auto-rotate and zooming in the gallery and web browser is a treat. Tethering is available, which means the Hero can be used as a broadband modem. There’s a standard 3.5mm audio jack and stereo Bluetooth, but video playback is disappointing. MP4 video playback is poor in higher resolutions and there’s no support for DivX or Xvid. if you have no interest in watching movies on your phone then that shouldn’t be too much of a concern though.

A Look At The HTC Hero G3 Mobile Phone

HTC Hero continues HTCs policy of cutting edge design features and introduces a variety of distinct devices to represent your own individuality. Boasting bevelled edges and an angled bottom to the mobile, the HTC Hero is contoured to fit comfortably in your hand and against your face while you are talking. The HTC Hero is built to last beginning with an anti-fingerprint screen coating for improved smudge resistance and a longer lasting, clearer display – so you might be able to do without a screen protector. The White HTC Hero includes an industry-first, Teflon coating, resulting in an improved, durable white surface that is soft to the touch.

The HTC Hero is HTC’s first phone to embody HTC Sense – an intuitive, seamless experience built upon three fundamental principles – ‘make it mine’, ’stay close’, and ‘discover the unexpected’, that focuses on putting people at the centre by making their phones work in a more simple and natural way.

The HTC Hero G3 mobile phone has a 3.2 inch HVGA display screen that is optimized for Web, multimedia and other content while maintaining a small size and weight that fits comfortably in your hand. It also boasts a broad variety of hardware features including a GPS, digital compass, gravity-sensor, 3.5mm stereo headset jack, a 5 megapixel autofocus camera (much better than the previous 2 google phones) and expandable microSD memory. The HTC Hero mobile phone also includes a dedicated Search button that goes beyond basic search on other mobile phones, providing you with a more natural, contextual search experience that enables you to search through Twitter, locate people in your contact list, find emails in your inbox or search in any other area in Hero.
